Founded in 1978, SSP is an independent and inclusive organization, welcoming everyone interested in scholarly communications. This allows us to be individual-focused, supporting new voices regardless of professional affiliation. To continue to foster an inclusive and robust profession, SSP founded the Generations Fund to provide long-term resources to two critical program areas: leadership-workforce development and diversity, equity and inclusion.
Researchers make knowledge. You - scholarly communications professionals - make knowledge powerful.
To secure the future of scholarly communications, SSP's Board of Directors has made a commitment to support an inclusive next generation of professionals by creating the Generations Fund. The Generations Fund will provide sustainable funding for SSP’s Fellowship, Mentoring, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility programs through an endowment. Endowed funds protect these vital programs from unforeseen events like economic downturns, pandemics, and turmoil. After all, a community is only as strong as its next generation of leaders.
Help us reach our goal of $500,000 to permanently endow these programs. SSP has seeded the campaign with $100,000, and board members have all made an additional personal commitment to give.
Join us in our commitment to spreading knowledge - donate to the Generations Fund today!
